Day Trip From Brasov To Sibiu
Sibiu is another trademark Transylvanian city. It’s the cradle of the Saxons and was the capital of the Principality of Transylvania between 1692 – 1791 and 1849–65. We drive almost 150 km from Kronstadt (Brasov) to reach Hermannstadt (Sibiu). Here we first visit the ASTRA National Museum Complex. An open air museum of folkloric traditional civilization. The tour continues with a walk through Sibiu’s old town. In the historic center we have plenty opportunities for drinks and food, as well as souvenirs and free time for photos. We will visit the Council Tower, the Bridge of Lies and per request, the Brukenthal Museum. In the afternoon we start our return trip to Brasov! On our way back we can stop in Sambata to visit the popular orthodox monastery!

Route: Brasov -> Fagaras -> Sambata -> Dumbrava Sibiului (Visit of the ASTRA open air museum!) -> Sibiu (Visit of the old town. Walking tour. Free time, food, drinks, photos.) -> Sambata (A stop at the orthodox monastery, if requested. ) -> Fagaras -> return to Brasov.
